Dave Langevin first went to the McAbee Fossil Beds with the local Rock Club. He hasn't stopped going there since. Eventually, he staked it, and now he and his partner, Robert Drachuk, have made it available for the public through their fossil digging tours. They started guided fossil digging tours to dig your own fossils and opened up an on-site store to sell McAbee fossils and other rocks and minerals from around the world. They put some "U-Dig Fossils" signs off the highway and advertised with local businesses and tourism offices. Dave and Robert are looking forward to your visit in 2005. The digging season runs from May to October. There is an on-site guide daily from 9:00 - 4:00 during the high season in July/August. Please call ahead to book your tour during the shoulder season. Bus tours are welcome and need to be pre-booked.
